These Terms of Service (Terms) are a binding agreement between you and Avanse Education IT Canada (Avanse, we, us, our). By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy.

Minimum age: You must be at least 16 years old to use this website. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the site and that your parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the site.

Avanse provides educational and informational content about Education IT pathways in Canada. This includes program overviews, comparison style pages, admissions and planning guides, and general research notes intended to help users understand typical study structures and terminology.

We are not a university, college, admissions office, or credential evaluation service. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of any third party information (such as program names, tuition, deadlines, or requirements), as these items may change. You are responsible for verifying details with the relevant institution before applying or making decisions.

Certain features may evolve over time. We may add, modify, or remove content and functionality at our discretion, subject to the modifications section below.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone else from using the site. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any access methods you use and for all activities performed through your device and browser.

If the site offers any account or profile features now or in the future, you agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and maintain only one account per person unless explicitly permitted in writing by Avanse.

You must not attempt to bypass security controls, interfere with the site, or access non public areas of the website.

The website and all content on it, including text, structure, compilation, design, software, code, graphics, logos, and the Avanse name and branding, are owned by Avanse or licensed to Avanse and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Avanse grants you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to access and use the website for your personal, non commercial use. This license does not permit you to copy, reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, license, create derivative works from, or exploit the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Any rights not expressly granted are reserved by Avanse.

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

• Use the site for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
• Scrape, harvest, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content or data from the website, including for training models or building competing databases.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover source code or underlying ideas of the site or its components.
• Impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation, or provide false information in messages sent through the site.
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the site, servers, or networks connected to the site, including by denial of service attempts.
• Use the website to send spam, unsolicited promotions, or bulk communications.

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avanse disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that any content is complete, accurate, or current, or that it will meet your requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avanse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the website.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avanse's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the website will not exceed the amount you paid to Avanse for access to the website in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 EUR, whichever is lower.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such cases, the limitations will apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Avanse and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your access to or use of the website, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third party rights.

The website may reference third party institutions or resources. Any third party websites or services are not controlled by Avanse. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third party websites, and your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Our Privacy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain information, including cookie categories and advertising technology disclosures. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that the courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the website, subject to the dispute resolution process below.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us and providing a brief written description of the issue and the relief requested. We will make a good faith effort to respond within a reasonable time.

A 30 day informal resolution period applies from the date we receive your notice. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may proceed in the courts specified in the governing law section.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or interfered with site operations. Termination does not limit any other rights or remedies we may have.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: Intellectual Property, Prohibited Activities, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law and Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page and will become effective 14 days after posting, unless a shorter period is required for security or legal compliance. Your continued use of the website after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
